  • How does the Kaycie Bakes Bakery work?
We are a 'bake by appointment only' bakery. Each order is baked fresh just before your requested date. When finalizing your order you will be asked to choose a time slot for pickup or delivery. We do not offer walk-in or same day orders currently.
  • Where is your pickup location?
Orders can be picked up in the heart of Carleton Place. Pickup times will be arranged in advance (by appointment only). Contactless pickup is available if desired. Alternatively, you can have your order delivered for a fee.
  • Do you offer gluten-free baking?
Yes! We now have some gluten-free options available on our menu. However, our kitchen is not 100% gluten-free (since we bake with gluten flour too). Please reach out if you have questions about how we avoid cross-contamination, or if you have more questions about food allergies.
  • Can you accommodate large orders?
Yes, we have experience fulfilling large orders and would be happy to discuss your need. Whether you're an organization looking for 400+ cupcakes, or a shop owner looking to spoil customers with a sweet treat - we've got you covered. If you'd like to discuss a large order, complete this form.
  • Do you take custom orders?
Yes! If you have a specific design or dessert in mind visit our Custom Orders page to complete a quick request form. Once received, I will contact you by email to confirm your order before proceeding.
  • If I have live flowers on my dessert, should I put it in the fridge?
You should not keep your dessert with flowers in the fridge. Although live flowers are usually kept refrigerated at the florists, items in your household fridge (such as fruits and veggies) release gases that could cause the flowers to wilt faster. Fruits such as apples and pears emit ethylene gas as they ripen - this gas will cause your flowers to die. Desserts with live flowers should be kept cool, but out of the fridge.
  • Can I eat the flowers?
While some of our flowers are edible, we do not recommend ingesting them. Don't worry - you'll enjoy our desserts enough that you won't want to eat the greenery. 😉
  • Pick up/delivery with live flowers.
Having live flowers as part of your dessert lends itself to some stunning designs, but there are some things to keep in mind. Out of water flowers do not last long. Due to this the cake needs to be picked up/delivered right before the event begins. This will ensure the flowers stay as fresh as possible and look their absolute best.
  • Does Kaycie Bakes take custom orders?
Yes! Tell us what you'd like, and we'll tell you if we can do it. We can even make suggestions based on your favourite flavours. In the past we have designed custom smash cakes, boho wedding cakes, baby shower cupcakes, custom birthday cakes, and more. See for yourself!
  • How far in advance should I place my order?
The further in advance you can order, the better! Many people place their order weeks or even months in advance to ensure availability. While this is not required, it is appreciated! Some items require more notice than others, please see below for details. Custom cakes/cupcakes and most large desserts: Order must be placed at least 1 week before requested pickup date. Cookies, brownies and small handhelds: Please order at least 2 days before the requested pickup date.
  • What payment types do you accept?
We accept cash and e-transfers, as well as cheques for large orders.
  • Where do I pickup my order?
Orders can be picked up in the heart of Carleton Place. Full address details will be included on your invoice. Pickup times will be arranged in advance (by appointment only). Alternatively, you can have your order delivered for a fee.
  • Do you offer delivery?
Yes! Delivery starts at a flat rate of $10. The rate is subject to increase depending on delivery distance. The delivery fee will be communicated to you before finalizing your order.
  • Do you offer gluten-free options?
Upon request we can make gluten-free recipes. However, our kitchen is not 100% gluten-free since we keep flour and other gluten-inclusive ingredients on hand. Please let us know if you have more questions about food allergies.
  • How does custom ordering work?
If you're interested in placing an order for a custom creation, please fill in this form. Once we've received your request we'll reach out to confirm any additional information. After that, we will provide you with a list of options as well as pricing. If you are happy with the options and would like to proceed with ordering we'll move forward from there!
